They work well in difficult projects, and at the same time they are ecological and energy-saving. MDV mini-VRF systems bring together a growing group of recipients, both entrepreneurs and individual customers. This is also supported by the wide range of aggregates on offer. Aleksander Styszko - MDV sales manager at Aircon in the south-eastern region talks about the popularity of mini-VRF, technology, solutions and new products.

In which investments is the mini-VRF system the best?

Aleksander Styszko: I think that mini-VRF arouses the greatest interest among small and medium air conditioning systems. In the case of multi-stage construction, it is mainly flexibility in terms of adding more units at a later time, which speaks in favor of this choice. However, often even customers in larger single-family houses choose the mini-VRF system, because it gives more possibilities when it comes to e.g. control issues.

What influences this broad interest?

A. Styszko: It certainly results from the wide range of MDV products, because we have aggregates with a capacity of 7.2 kW (so as for splits or multi-splits) up to 49 kW (as for standard VRF systems). However, the main argument that most effectively convinces customers to choose a mini-VRF system is its flexibility. We had a client who has an apartment on the 2nd floor of an 11-story block, the cooperative did not allow him to install the generator on the balcony or on the facade. The only allowed installation was on the roof. It was then that the mini-VRF with the smallest unit, which allowed a pipeline length of up to 100 meters and a height difference of up to 30 meters, proved successful. Another important thing is the reduction of the number of aggregates, which affects the aesthetics of the installation.

What do customers ask most often?

A. Styszko: Installers are our clients. They most often ask about the possibilities of extensive control. We can offer the simplest controllers, which are wireless remote controls, but also very complex systems for distributing electricity costs. Another thing are the technical parameters, i.e. the length of the pipe or the maximum gains allowed by these systems.

In what direction is this technology developing?

A. Styszko: We are trying to follow the ecological direction. We want to take care of the environment through our freon devices, minimize energy consumption, reduce the amount of factors or convert them to later

What mini-VRF novelties does MDV offer?

A. Styszko: I recommend the CCM-180 central controller, which resembles a small tablet: central control, color display, menu in Polish, touch panel - in short, we go with the times. I can also recommend an electricity distribution system. It allows you to service buildings in which there are many tenants (or investors) who want to carry out a joint investment in the implementation of an air conditioning system, and then settle separately according to consumption. This system allows you to calculate the exact energy consumption, we can also introduce a price tariff for electricity.
